Countermeasures against Cybercrime
サイバー空間に国境はありませんが、捜査権には厳然とした国境があります。そのため、ランサムウェアなど、国境を越えて猛威を振るうサイバー犯罪に対して、各国とも大変苦慮しているのが現状です。しかしながら、これを乗り越える国際ルールはなく、ならず者国家や犯罪組織が、サイバー犯罪によって暴利を得続けています。各国が納得し得る国際ルールや、これを受けて整備すべき国内法について提案します。
Cyberspace has no borders, but the authority of investigatin has strict borders. Therefore, each country is currently struggling against cybercrimes such as ransomware, that rage across national borders. However, there are no international rules to overcome these problems, and rogue states and criminal organizations continue to profit from cybercrime. I propose international rules that can be accepted by each country, and domestic laws that should be established in response to these international rules.

様々な企業不祥事において、その背景に、不正に認容的な企業文化の存在が指摘されています。しかしながら、従来の企業コンプライアンスでは、企業文化の問題に正面から取り組んできませんでした。健全な企業文化の維持・形成は、経営者や社員が、自らの企業文化を客観的に見つめることによって実現されます。さらにそれは、企業の柔軟性、独創性の向上にもつながっていきます。企業という組織の特性を理解し、不正を未然に防ぐ組織づくりの手法を探っていきます。
A variety of corporate scandals occur due to a corporate culture that tolerates misconduct. However, conventional corporate compliance has not tackled directly with the issue of corporate culture. The formation and maintenance of a healthy corporate culture is achieved when management and employees examine their own corporate culture objectively. This will also lead to greater corporate flexibility and creativity. I am exploring methods of creating organizations that can understand the characteristics of their corporate organization, and thereby prevent fraud and misconduct.

Community Crime Prevention and Recidivism Prevention
犯罪者を検挙して刑罰を受けさせるのは、警察、検察、裁判所等の刑事司法機関の仕事です。しかし、犯罪が生じないように子供たちを見守る、犯罪を行いにくい環境をつくる、非行や犯罪を犯した人を立ち直らせることは、自治体や地域住民の主体的な取組がなければ達成できません。自治体と地域住民によって行うことのできる、防犯対策と再犯防止対策の手法について研究を行っています。
It is the job of criminal justice agencies including the police, prosecutors, and courts to arrest and punish offenders. However, the efforts, including watching over children to prevent crimes, creating an environment that makes it difficult to commit crimes, and rehabilitating people who have committed delinquent acts or crimes, cannot be accomplished without the proactive efforts of local governments and local residents. I am researching methods of crime prevention and recidivism prevention that can be implemented by local governments and local residents.
